Kevin Garnett will waive his no-trade clause for the discussed Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics blockbuster trade involving Garnett and Paul Pierce, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports. The Nets have agreed to pay Garnett all of the $12 million is he owed for the 2013-14 season.

In the trade, Boston will send Garnett, Pierce and Terry to Brooklyn in return for Gerald Wallace, Kris Joseph, Kris Humphries and three future-first round picks (2014, ’16, ’18). The Nets will also send Reggie Evans to the Celtics in a sign-and-trade and an additional minimum-level player as a part of the deal.

The trade can’t be made official by the NBA until July 10.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2015696546486828468.post-38736342639825844102013-05-03T19:00:00.000-07:002013-05-03T19:00:09.364-07:00Boston Celtics Eliminated by the New York Knicks 88-80

The Boston Celtics contained a big comeback by the New York Knicks to win the game in overtime 97-90.

Jason Terry scored Boston's last nine points to keep New York Kincks at bay. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 29 points.

J.R. Smith of the Knicks did not play due to a suspension by the NBA for elbowing Jason Terry.

After trailing by 20 points in the third quarter, New York tied the game 84-84 late in the third. Celtics regained control with Jason Terry 3 pointer.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 36 points.

Still evident in the Celtics their woes in scoring in second half. In their previous games they scored just 25 points in Game 1 and 23 in Game 2 and on this game they were outscored 30-14 in the third quarter and led just 68-65 heading into the fourth.

Kevin Garnett had 13 points and 17 rebounds, Jeff Green scored 26 points and Jason Terry 18 points.

It's over, I really don't think that the Celtics still have any chance to salvage the playoffs. I just hope they win one game to save face and don't embarrass the Celtics fans.

Jeff Green led the Boston Celtics with 21 points, they can try to become the first NBA team to win a series after trailing 3-0 but I doubt they can with these roster. Williams had 29 points and 12 assists to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 101-93 victory over the Celtics on Wednesday night.

Brook Lopez scored 21 points and Joe Johnson added 20 for Brooklyn, which won for the 12th time in 18 games overall and beat the Celtics for the third time in four meetings this season.
Williams went 10 for 10 from the free throw line.
With the victory, the Nets moved closer to wrapping up fourth place in the Eastern Conference and clinching home-court advantage in the first round. Brooklyn owns a 3 1/2-game edge over idle Chicago with four games left to play in the regular season.
Paul Pierce led Boston with 23 points, Jeff Green added 11 and Kevin Garnett had 11 points and eight rebounds in his second game back after missing the previous eight with an inflamed left ankle.
