Boston Celtics avoid Sweep beat Knicks in Overtime 97-90

Jason Terry, Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics, Paul Pierce, New York Knicks, Carmelo Anthony, Honey Nut Cheerios

The Boston Celtics contained a big comeback by the New York Knicks to win the game in overtime 97-90.

Jason Terry scored Boston's last nine points to keep New York Kincks at bay. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 29 points.

J.R. Smith of the Knicks did not play due to a suspension by the NBA for elbowing Jason Terry.

After trailing by 20 points in the third quarter, New York tied the game 84-84 late in the third. Celtics regained control with Jason Terry 3 pointer.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 36 points.

Still evident in the Celtics their woes in scoring in second half. In their previous games they scored just 25 points in Game 1 and 23 in Game 2 and on this game they were outscored 30-14 in the third quarter and led just 68-65 heading into the fourth.

Kevin Garnett had 13 points and 17 rebounds, Jeff Green scored 26 points and Jason Terry 18 points.
